hey everyone, before i start i will say that i am in Canberra australia, just so it will make it easier to meet or call whomever can help with my dilemma's!! Cool, now that, that's over i own a 75 civic, resprayed yellow, lowered, exhaust, racing reclinables, stereo and most importantly a series 1 city turbo mill. At the moment it will be getting engineered which requires brake up grade and just minor stuff. I have Jason and Anthony ( have had their cars featured in Fast fours: the two white ones!) setting up the brakes and doin the stuff for me but while i was at it, i figured i'ld get an intertcooler, if anybody can help me source one it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, this has nothing to do with your dilema, but I saw the word Canberra and got struck by nostalgia. I spent most of a year there in 85. Went to Woden high(is it even still there?) and lived in Garran(I think I spelt that right). Just have fond memories of all the places we used to hang out.

Hey there,
look up

if you haven't already.
The supra intercooler should be a good compromise for the space restriction in the civ.
However, there is a lot of different choices, it's just a case of how much trouble you are willing to go to, to fit one.

well, that's pretty much why i was looking for a standard i/c, less stuffing around and customising = less cost, but if need be, i am willing to pay a little more, for what i want.

With a civic it is always a stretch to fit anyhting standard. Even the intercooler off a city tyurbo needs customised pipes to fit. If you are going to that trouble already it is a good idea to fit the best flowing, best size within your budget. The standard one is a little small and quite restrictive anyway.
Have you investigated the option Mike Muir took with his civ? He used a water/air intercooler from a subaru. They take a little to set up, but can be quite good from what I've read. Also good cause you can tuck it inside the engine bay where there is more room than behind the grill.
remember that i/c sizes are given in core size, so ask for the overall size and take into account the thickness too as there are things like the alternator in the way at the front.
Oh, and good luck! they are so much fun to drive. A dyno day sounds like a good idea too. Kinda wish I still lived in Canberra with my civ!

Would you still have a wiring diagram from your swap? I have a series 1 and need the color coded diagram to see if I have all the little parts and the right wires
