Bought a web cam racing cam and now need new valve springs that will work with cam. Just wondering if someone knows what will work to replace the stock springs. (to much lift for the springs).
Thanks, John

Depending on the rpm you run and how aggressive the lobes are. PJ had a tip to run some CVCC springs. I think they were 75 exhaust, but you will have to check with him to be sure.

I use Iskenderian springs, part #455/456. They are not listed in their online catalog, but available none the less. They are actually for a Ford 2 liter motor (Pinto), but have worked fine for years in 1200 motors.

Hey this may sound stupid, but isn't it possible to put like a washer under the spring thus making the spring more compressed as it is installed?? This would lead to a stiffer spring in my logical thinking...
Is it a very bad idea????

The valve spring shim (never use a washer) will increase coil bind with hight valve lift.
