I found a great source for wagon spindles. The company is called International Parts, there is an 800 number, but I'm on the library computer and don't have it with me. They want $53.00 U.S. each with shipping. They tell me that they're guaranteed to be in good shape. I ordered a set, they'll be here later in the week. I will let you all know how they turn out, and provide the phone number later. One question.......When you are putting on the crx brakes, what do the mugen adaptors do? Can you use 86 crx rotors and the early accord calipers, or do you need the mugen adaptors for this swap? Also, I made a post a few months ago about using accord lower front control arms to get an increase in negative camber and track. Would this be possible if longer c.v. axles such as cvcc's or 2nd gen's were used?, how would one alter the rear to match?

Now I understand after I took the suspension from the donor accord apart to get calipers and roto's. Those pads are huge!!!!!!!!! Though I haven't set it up yet, I'm worried about the front end nosediving. Is this a problem for those of you that have this setup? Will I need a wagon master cylinder or a proportioning valve? And how do you adopt the banjo style fittings on the accord calipers to the civic. I couldn't get the flex lines from the donor car, and they didn't look like they would work.

I still haven't thought of what to do about the rubber brake hoses. Can I use the ones from a 2nd gen. or an accord? The auto parts store wants $40.00 for new ones, do any of you have a source where I can get braided stainless lines for about that much? Also, how do you get the end of the flexible hose from the bracket in the fenderwell on the accord? The bracket and hose appear to be made together, and they look to be riveted? into the body? Tried tapping on the top of the bracket and the top of the hose with a hammer to free it from the bracket, and looking for bolts inside the engine bay, but my patience was thin in the heat of the day......

Use hoses from a 2nd gen (EN1, 80-83) Civic.

I'm about halfway done with the wagon brake upgrade now. Here's what I've learned

1. You can remove the hub from the knuckle by resting it on two cinderblocks on either side of the disc, and driving it out by placing a socket the size of the shaft that goes in the bearings on the back and hitting it with a **brass** hammer. Be sure to use the right size socket as you will flare the end of the shaft if you use one thats too small. A brass hammer won't dammage your socket, but use an old socket just to be sure. I think the right size is something like 15/16.

2. Accord roto's will not work with wagon spindles and hubs. I suppose accord hubs are needed to use accord roto's, but the wagon hubs are larger than the hole in the center of the accord roto, and they don't fit togethtr like the wagon roto and hub do. Wagon roto's cost me $74.00 for both at napa and they had to special order them.

3. The wagon hubs take larger bearings than the standard civic.

4. The company I ordered the wagon setup from is called international parts. The phone number is: 800-825-3121 The parts came from Nordstrom's in South Dakota. It took the 2 weeks to ship them but I got the whole setup, I diddn't expect to get it all. All of it was rusty, and the rotos were too bad to use. I guess they sent it all because they diddn't think it was worth taking apart.

Dude, someones ordering you the wrong parts...I assure you the correct rotors will fit...also Civics, Accords, and Preludes up to at least 83 all use the same front wheel bearings. Better have them check again.

Dude, What's up with Napa? Genuine Honda costs a little more, but isn't your car a Honda?

I'e put it all together, and it works, but its about the same as stock and I can't get a full pedal. Would a dual reservoir master cylinder help, I noticed my parts car had one. Also, what master cylinder and booster did the civic wagon and/or accord use and would they be an improvement.

Hey Tony I was wondering the same thing by using the larger calipers would the master need changing from the wagon? The reservoir doesn't matter is what's at the business end of the master I was wondering about...I am going to take some uprights our of a wagon today...gonna grab that master just in case...Anyone have input here?
