This is one of the best investments in the garage, it’s a real back saver and allows to store heavy parts in high places.
I was able to bring down a door with ease from the loft, I tied a cable strap through the door and along the upper window frame. Is here when the hook can latch onto the cable hoist.
The winch in the loft is on a short piece of unistrut that allows me to slide it out past the floor of the loft.
I have anther electric winch just above my car allowing me to lift the car or motor into place. It’s a heavier duty winch being able to lift the empty car or engine/transmission combination.
I hope to rig up something to be able to pull the car into the garage but that may require a roller attached to the floor to pull straight up.
