There's only one colour shot below, this was after the car was repainted from Madrid Red as it did not photograph well at night.
After it was repainted, it only did daylight events, hence the spots having been removed.
Any questions, anyone, I'm happy to answer.
It was always ahead of the Escorts, apart from the 16valve 1800s.
It did not have much horsepower [around90bhp] but it did have lightness on its side, being around 250kgs lighter than a similarly equipped Escort [cage, alloys, re-inforcement] in its day.
1st event , first 20 miles
A bit further on in the season
Doing an international [at club level, though]
Trossachs Rally
Cestrian Stages
Other random events
The last 2 events shown were on consecutive days, 1 in Scotland, the other in NE England, if I remember correctly.
We certainly did 2 back-to-back in one weekend.
The car was driven to and from these 2 events [900 road miles] and 160 competitive miles. It used less than a pint of oil, did 22mpg [Imp] and the tires did 2 more events afterwards.
Running in the >1300 class being1169] it never placed lower than 4th in class and generally top 15 overall. Finances curtailed further events, the sponsor going back to black ops [seriously!!!] and the dealer losing the Honda franchise [see Jay's earlier post].
I used to have a lot more, but when I got my solicitor to insist that they were returned to me by my first wife, she complied to the letter, I got them back alright, after they had been shredded. :(
I have to say that putting these photos up has brought back some hilarious stories, some hairy ones [notice the custom rear end ].
I might post some if anyone is interested, mind have a drink as they will be quite lengthy to explain the scene.
Pete

This was the start of our second event.
1stwife even got in the pic! She's above my head.
The event was very frosty, with sheet ice after rain earlier in the night. At one point, I had to push the car to get traction, told John to keep going, which he did. 100 yards further on he stopped at the top of a hill. I then saw the car slide down the the other sidel, all 4 wheels locked on ice. John regained control at the bottom, and I looked at getting down to him. I did it by placing my posterior on the road[saved falling over] and revolved [not rolled] twice as I went down. John realised the position I was in and drove away before I hit him. We missed by 2'.
The stuff that makes it a laugh.
We also got to 4 controls and got signatures that no others did.
Consequently another piece of tat to polish on the fireplace. It's a sod of a punishment.
