Hi, i am Louis, on the i-net Sjupergrover and i live in a small town in Holland.

The 1st gen Civic is a very rare car in Holland and is not really seen as an oldtimer yet, but i think this is going to change in a couple of years. At least, nowadays it is different from five years ago.

I own 3 Civic's at the moment :

'78 Honda Civic Hondamatic

Silver with tan interior

* 12" Wolfrace rims
* sport steering wheel

'79 Civic 1200 Hondamatic

Red with black interior

Bought from 1st owner in 1998

12" chrome rings
N600 overhead console
Lugage cover
sport steering wheel
Pioneer Cassette player
Honda jeco clock

'82 Civic 1.3 Sport

Red with black/red interior

13" Enkei / Honda rims powder coated black
Monroe shocks with lowering coils
2 K&N airfilters
oiltemp. / oilpressure / voltmeter

So that is it for now.
Any other dutch people here ?? maybe European people ??
or Civic enthusiasts ?? :lol: :lol:

Here in Holland we have a yearly inspection, but it isn't that hard.
If your car isn't that rusty ande it is technical okay than you can pass it.

i knew somebody here that had an 160 Hp VTEC engine in his 2nd gen. passed the tests without problems. :D

So, time for an update, i have read a lot here, but haven't posted a lot.
The Silver '78 is sold, so I now have left the two red ones.

Bought some new stuff for the '79 Civic :

* Pioneer Cassette player
* 12" chrome rings
* Honda jeco clock
* sport steering wheel

The color code, if I remember well, is R-37 a red color from the Honda Concerto (Rover 200 series) which is very similar to the original color.

With the sides trips i assume you mean the rubber strips with the red insert, they are exclusively for the Civic S and very expensive to get. i can look after some partnumbers if you want to check out with your local dealer.
The little front spoiler is standard on an Civic S.
