Love them both, in my opinion I have a car for any occasion
small sprightly and economical, vs large, squishy (and hugely comfortable) and thirsty.

i too have a soft spot for T-birds. my dad's first car was a 60' bird, that i still plan on resurrecting once we are able to pry it back from my uncle. the other "yank tank" in the family is my dad's 58' Ford Skyliner, since i could walk i'v been helping (or hindering) in her restoration. tinkering with cars is more or less in my blood
.
And thanks Thor for that little trip down your memory lane, if i had to choose any other decade to grow up in it would be the 60's. Seeing footage of the worlds fair from the 50's and 60's is awe inspiring, and that Chrysler Turbine car should have been put into production, it's fascinating, and the styling was/is mind blowing. in my opinion there is nothing nowadays that can even begin to compare to the car designs of decades past.
not to get even more off topic, but here's a pic of our 58'. the restoration pics are pretty impressive. we acquired her after most of the work was already done (thank goodness). another never ending project.

The green across the top of the windshield was just tinting. The antenna was a thin wire that ran down the center of the glass. It wasn't something you can notice unless you looked for it.
The closest I can find with a grille that went straight across would be the boxy Caprices ('77-'90). They do have a slight V to the grille, but not as much as earlier years.
You can see the grille on mine in this picture, excuse the dirt, but I hadn't washed it in a while before taking this picture. I just needed to get a good shot of the stance with the new suspension. It's not green, though.

Re: monsters
Nate, what is the Plymouth exactly. As well as the 74 Civic I also have a 68 Dodge Phoenix. I think my Phoenix is the same as a Fury III.
