I am relying on my memory but back in 1976 when I bought my first Civic there was two stickers on the car.
One on the front windscreen in the bottom corner and one in the rear passenger window.
I believe one was an inspection sticker.
I recall hundreds of cars were held at the Vancouver Port due to issues from domestic automakers and were not allowed into Canada.
The real issue was according to the big three were safety concerns, this may be how the inspection sticker came in to place, not sure now but it was numbered on the back seen from inside the car.
The gold wing badge in the US was only for paired dealers, Bikes and Cars. In 76 I was still officially just on the Bikes, Though it got so busy so fast that we were scrambling to get it all done. The OK sticker came on all the cars, I would think that if the car did not have a sticker that said OK it would not make it to the dealer...
This was similar to the one on the front Collectable: First Generation Honda Civic Badge
