Hi guys, finally getting around to posting a project thread.
This is my 1979 CVCC. I bought it about 6 months ago, the last owner imported it to Ontario from Arizona so she is completely rust free!!! :D
I've been driving it since I got it, and it has been an absolute blast. It passed safety inspection with flying colors, and until now she hasn't given me any headaches. Definitely one of the most amazing cars I've ever owned.
So that's why the logical step is to go and swap a different motor in, right?!
Currently have put in quite a bit of work already. Have the old motor out (which is for sale if anyone is interested)
I have put in the BC racing coil overs
Done the necessary cutting and massaging to get the new motor in (it is a 92 jdm d15b mated to a crx si trans)
The mounts are made, and hopefully once it warms up (it's been -30 the last few days) we can get the motor sitting on its own and get the axles set up.
Just wanted to say thanks to all you guys who have helped me the last few months. I'd probably still have a stock civic if I hadn't have found this forum ha ha.
Here are some photos:
Let me know if those uploads work, I've been having troubles.
Cheers everyone

Have the passenger side mount mocked up. Ended up making them from scratch. Here are a few pics. ^^^

Welcome to the site from Georgetown, not too far away from Ajax.
I like your taste in cars. 1stgen and Sir Ep3 Civic. Was that a AMC Spirit I saw?

Re: 1979 civic
Thanks for the welcome, I was in Ajax this past summer with the cvcc for a wedding, not far at all. Also you've got a good eye. That's my roommates 82 spirit with a mustang 5l in it. You should see our place, used to look like a scrap yard. Just hauled a few old renaults to the scrap a few weeks ago :PRandy wrote:Welcome to the site from Georgetown, not too far away from Ajax.

Another update. Have the drivers side and passenger mounts tacked in, now just figuring out where I'm going to bring it to get properly welded, or if I can rent a decent welder from somewhere. Here are some snaps.
Cheers
