I have to say that having run the following plugs over the years.
Champion [rubbish]
Bosch [a bit better, but narrow heat tolerance]
Autolite [don't   ]
Unipart [fall apart]
ND [okay]
I nowadays will only use NGK, indeed I will run them on until I can get exactly what I want from NGK [usually BPR5ES]. Supply is getting better in the UK as Halfords now stock them in all branches.

I run any of my cars , whatever make, on them and have done for the last 30 years or so.
Just my view.
Still looking for a good source of leads in the UK, though.
Any suggestions of a supplier?

Pete

I just spent way too much on some ACDelco Platinums... 2 month's later one fouled out. So I went with NGK's for less than half the price

So I'm switching over to a 5 speed, and I've started hunting for the gearbox itself. I bought a few bits and pieces in the past, like NOS Honda OEM clutch cable and pedal rubbers from Yahoo Japan. This week while I was at the wreckers I liberated a set of manual pedals from one of the 79 1200s they had there. They were a bit daggy, but with bit of work and a can of VHT Engine Enamel, I managed to bring them up to look as good as new.

Steph those look great. I was thinking of painting mine to, but thought who would notice. I've just changed my mind

You dont need all that to go manual. You only need the brake peddle, clutch peddle and the longer bolt that comes with the manual peddle box

Cool, that would make it way easier to change over. I really enjoyed restoring it, so in a way I'm glad I didn't know that when I grabbed them. I went to the wreckers to find a new bumper, but when I saw the pedals I just grabbed them, unsure of what I needed to do the changeover. I think I'll still change it all over, as I want it all to look like new, that's why I grabbed the accelerator pedal as well. Now I need a 5 speed gearbox with all the linkages. :)

I just checked the pedals in my car, and there is nooo way I'm changing over the whole assembly, you can't even see it!

So, thanks for the heads-up Jay! 3 days later and I had almost forgot what a pain in the backside it was removing the whole assembly. I was sooo sore the next day. It was heaps harder than removing the instruments when I installed the deluxe gauges.

I have to say, I did enjoy restoring them though. Who would have known restoring a car could be so much fun? :D

I memory serves me correct I think you can even saw down the brake pedal from the automatic and just stick the 4 speed brake peddle pad over top.
