I'd say not as good as nothing... use the factory get someone to scan it for you or just a copy mailed to you, It's just frustration otherwise.

A chilton's manual is not too bad. I used a Chilton's and AllData (had access from work) with my first swap. Sometimes it helps to have more than one source to "verify" things too. If you know someone who can access Mitchell on Demand, they have some very good wiring diagrams, a lot of them color coded (as in the actual wires in the diagram have different colors!). I wouldn't use a Haynes manual to wipe my arse with though

I unloomed everything and pulled all the wiring i was sure i didnt need.
I should have done a before and after but you can tell the difference by the pile of pulled wires on the floor.

I ungrounded a spliced blk wire (I believe in the cruise control circuit) that also grounded to the purge cut-off solenoid valve. Is it ok to reground anywhere or does it have to be a specific place? I know a ground is a ground is a ground but im just trying to make sure..

I think i may be answering my own question but i just read that the purge cut-off solenoid valve just opens so it can suck unused gasses from the charcoal canister?

I suppose i dont need this to opperate my vehicle??
My car should still pass emmisions because its a non cat vehicle and the standards are lowered?

Sounds alright as long as you don't cut off the vacuum to the bowl vents too.

Thank you, I'll leave it ungrounded for now..
....I thought i F up already....
What about the Resonator and Idle Up solonoid and valve next to it?

If the engine does'nt need them to opperate I'd love to get rid of them (Keeping the neccessary vacuum lines)

If i have to use the brake pedal input wire (Green/Wht) to the ECM?

Is it ok to cut this or do i need to use the brake switch at the pedal?

I think the brake switch input is used to deactivate the cruise control only. I don't remember dealing with it on mine. Here's a tip. For wires you're 99% sure you don't need, don't remove them completely. Cut them off near the terminal/connector and tape it up or put a butt connector on there IN CASE you need to re-attach something to it later. Saved my butt a few times when I get ahead of myself. The resonator is not needed for the intake system. The idle up solenoid should be functional though so it will idle properly during cold starts...IIRC that's it's main function.
