After looking for wagon knuckles and second gen hubs with not a lot of success, I started thinking of other options. What I produced is a way to use 1200 knuckles with 94 integra hubs and outer cv joints. The reason was to be able to go to a parts store and get a bearing or cv joint if i needed.
So, after lots of digging through specs and measurements this is my version of a 4/100 swap with motor swap.
first was to find a bearing that would fit the knuckle.
what i found is a bearing that is the same old as the knuckle but 4mm wider with a 42mm id.
so this is my fix
action shot
unsure but it worked quite well.
I had the hubs cut to 42mm with a 9mm/45 collar to fit the hub.
blasted everything.
I measured wrong and had my friend take 5mm off the inner knuckle.
then i had him make a 1 mm spacer oops.
everything fits well and no binding
The gap between the hub and the inner cv is 7mm so 4mm more than what it should be, but it still sits past the middle of the inner race.
I am using the 1stgen castle nut and will drill a hole for the pin. the castle nut threads run to the bottom of the nut and will catch more thread.
That's it for now, I'm still working on a rear dust cover.
This is not road tested and not certified in any way. I am comfortable with taking the risk and feel it's safe but that's my opinion
