Mine and Dad's project 1977 Honda Civic 1200

Post by Jacob Hanley »

about 3 years ago I purchased my 1977 honda civic 1200. Completely stock.

Dad and I begun to restore it to it's former glory, and make a lot of modifications along the way.
As I am not the greatest with mechanics Dad did a lot of the work and I helped as much as I could along the way. Ended up working out that Dad did a lot of the work and I supplied nearly all the cash, so it all evened out

These are pictures of the various stages of the build all over the site, but I thought I would upload a few of them into one thread so others can see what we've been up to. I'm sorry there aren't more of the different stages, I really regret not taking more photos.

I hope you enjoy :)

Regards

Jacob

Engine then pulled out and sent away to be rebuilt. Was a relief to finally get it all back so we could start assembling it.

I think the product we used to fill the roof channels was called stickaflex, we then covered that with stripping bought from repco.

-Exterior

New 2pac Paint, original white.

-Performance/electrical

Eb3 intake manifold. Modified.
Electronic Fuel Pump
Mild-Hot Street camshaft
Modified stock airbox to suit 32/36.
32/36 weber

^^^^

At the moment there are few things being fitted to the car.
*Adjustable timing gear, absolutely amazing results!
*Aftermarket 3 core radiator.
*Aftermarket redline air intake.
*200W RMS 12" Kenwood Subwoofer.

I couldn't believe how good the extractors turned out!
The coolest thing was he only had extremely basic tools to fabricate them with.
Dad is damn good at making high quality products using just a welder, an oxy and a grinder.

So the new 3 core radiator and the adjustable timing gear are fitted, timing issues are now fixed!

And wow does it go hard now, it is very quick!
