Project Blue-Civic-Hybrid 1975 CVCC Wagon
I finally picked up my CVCC and towed it back to my place. She's currently not running right now but hopefully she will be soon.
Goals are as follows:
1. Get her running right
2. Complete all basic maintenance and get new tires
3. Daily drive her until she implodes....
4. Motor swap of doom!!!

Of course I gotta show trailer pics and me looking like a goofball in front of my wagon!

hood hinges and latches...
Quick question, just opened the hood of my wagon and the previous owner did a terrible job of making the hood (hood) open like a regular car instead of a forward flipping version.
I can't see any original hinges or latches from the OEM system and I want the original hood latch system. How would I go about sourcing hood hinges, latches, hood release mechanism, etc., and does it require any welding?
How hard is it to source a new CVCC hood? Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.

Nice looking start to a project...
Craigslist will be the easiest way to find a hood and the parts you need.
Post some pictures of what they did. Need a good laugh!

Nice wheels, perfect for the time period.
Just curious do the fronts stick out more than the back?

Randy, yesterday when I checked it looked the same but now you got me doubting myself!! I will check it again tomorrow!
Just waiting for my Pertronix system to show up and hopefully that cures my ignition problems.

Just that on my car the fronts do stick out more, the backs on mine hardly rub.

SHE LIVES!!!
Finally got her running and idling on her own. I drove her to my driveway and now I have to figure out why she bogs at higher RPMS during 3rd and 4th gear pulls. All I did was replace the sparkplugs!!
Next I have to install my Pertronix system and tune up the Weber and hopefully all is good after that!

Pertronix Ignitor install help!!
Well now I've come to a grinding halt while installing my Pertronix Ignitor (PN:1741) and I have having a hell of time stripping out the distributor and getting the damn thing in there.
The bottom plate of the distributor that holds does not match up the screw holes on the pertronix ignitor plate. Has anyone else had this problem? Will I just have to tap 2 new holes that I marked on the the plate?
