Howdy to all
New to the forum - I need to rebuild both front struts because I have been unable to find replacements in my civic - 1975 Civic hatchback
Does anyone know where I could buy new - otherwise I must rebuild
If I rebuild, what type of fluid and how much is required for each strut? Are there any other parts that need to be replaced during the rebuild (seals, bushings ect).
Indio Ca is 2 hrs east of LA in the DESERT
Thanks for your suggestions
Tim

1st gen civic question
If the struts in your car are the original openable ones then you can change the fluid in them but that's about all. The seals are not available and have not been for as long as anybody can remember (if they ever were available). A fluid change is unlikely to improve them to any great degree.
There is basically only one choice these days, unless you happen to find some NOS ones of one sort or another. BCRacing - search here, there is plenty of info about them .

Re: 1st gen civic question
You maybe able to find them at BC racing. I got all four about 6 years ago.
