Fender Flares
I am looking for a set of fender flares for my hatch. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Maybe do a google search for an application for the VW Golf or Rabbit GTI. That seems to be the general direction that everyone has been trending towards.
Audi fender flares work good too as an option
If you are really stuck check into the flares from a Volkswagen Jetta or Rabbit. Measurements should be done to confirm fitting.
They stick out a bit father than stock would, looks really good especially if your wheels are a bit wider than stock.
Volkswagen Golf ?

Yes, I used rear wheel arches from Golf MK1 for my rear and front arches. I.e. in the rear part, the Golf arches were installed as they originally should be. For the front fenders, we installed them vice-versa

Bolt on fender flares
Hey guys, does anyone know where I can buy some bolt on flares? Got some wider wheels on the way and need flares. Cheers

Flares
Article in UK tuning mag announced this month that VW Golf mk1 flares are being re-manufactured and distributed by VW Heritage.
Price in UK is £150, online order is free delivery in the UK, don't know about elsewhere.
I understand that these are easily adapted to fit our cars, don't know, never tried them myself, but who knows?
www.vwheritage.com should get you more details.
I did think about trying them on my 2ndgen, but got the same effect with a can of satin textured paint and masking tape............
I believe that the plastic is sufficiently flexible to fit a 1stgen.........
Anybody used them????

I remember a few years ago someone from Canada was telling me about using the MK1 flares. Don't remember why I didn't use them, but I believe the easily adaptable part, those things will bend to nearly any shape you want them! 150 pounds isn't a bad deal for brand new parts, I'd say..
