Thanks, yea the cancer under the front of the right side rail is pretty nasty. It will be getting cut out and replaced.

Got a few moments to spray the inside steering rack hole area and the outside steering rack area. Taking a break to let it dry. These 40 degree days make the paint take a bit longer to dry. :)

Finally refinished the rear crossmember and am getting ready to reassemble it to the car. I'm happy with the undercoating and outer coat. I'm not quite sure which way to place the rubber grommet the pinion fits through (pic A or B). :)

Got the rear x-member and rack re-installed. The LCAs reconnected and the car is now back at the bodyshop to get the metal work done and the engine bay sprayed. :)

Looks good! Do you think you'll be ready for the Carlisle show this year?

Very good question - assuming the engine is back in and running! :)

So what was the decision with the engine in the end Bob? Transplant or rebuild?

A rebuilt transplant consisting of an a 1600 EF bottom and a ED 1500 top. :)

The only thing I'll be keeping from the old engine are the 3 bent rods as a souvenier.
