You might want to hang onto the lower belt cover no matter how bad it looks, they are getting harder to find!
Looks like you have a good bit done already, looks like a good project1

sorta have mixed thoughts about my motor  The previous owner has said that it was re-built... when I took the intake off, I turned the motor over to get the #1 piston to TDC, I noticed that one of the intake valves had "bubbles" forming as I turned the crank. looking at the camshaft once the valve cover was removed is very clean. Do I take the head off for a valve job, and at that point do I do the rings and bottom bearings as well???? what to do, what to do.

It sounds like it is pretty much a judgement call from the way that you describe it. Maybe if you can post some pics that show what you see , someone might have some specific advise.

It is always a tough call when you have to make the decision to pull it apart or not, I usually freshen it up if I take the time to disassemble and inspect a motor.

You are probably rite, there isn't much left to take the head off and get the valves done as well as do the rings and bearings. Not doing a compression test while the motor was in the car, was a mistake on my part. did get a chance to finish polishing my valve cover today tho :D

Took some more pics of the prep on some of the misc parts. Radiator fan, front struts, front cross member, backing plates and air cleaner. Not sure what color I should go with on the shocks. Plan on painting the springs red. I am thinking yellow on the shock, kinda like the bilstin color.

front knuckles already have been painted silver. painting the backing plates black. couldn't undo the bolts so I had to mask it up.

Thanks Bob. I still use koosjer's build as motivation. Your car is looking very good to. A little attention to detail goes along way.
