That transmission is very cool! I will start to finish my parts when I can get them all in one place, I can take some pics just to show the contrast in finishes. You know, Good Vs. mine... ( Sorry, I should have said great! )

Thanks all!! It's awesome to post pics of the work I've done, and to get such a great response. I finished in 1000 wet, would have liked to gone 2000 but my hands were killing me just to get it to that state. Started to polish with Mothers mag & aluminum polish, followed up by Autosol metal polish liquid, and a lot of buff'n.

hey, I bought a few cans of that mothers polish. walmart,.. $3.00 only!!!! :D everywhere else 8.00 plus :?

Hope it works out for you. Just remember, the finer (smoother) you get the aluminum, the more success you will have.

started detailing the steering rack and cross member. Got a few things cad plaited. Also been at it with the polisher again.

Been a while since I've added anything. So here is whats been going on. Removed the dash and seats, carpet, rest of what was in the engine bay and found more rust everywhere :roll: I did start scrapping the under coat from the wheel wells, happened to be the only place where it has not rusted. Was able to get a new battery tray made up at work today in my spare time. Looking forward to re-assembly some day.....
