im having lots of trouble finding a front bumper for my 77 2 door and was wondering where i could possibly find one of these instead. i think it looks great no bumper looks flush. was this an OEM piece of sheet metal or was it hand made?

It's a hand-made infill panel, using the vertical part of the bumper infill panel for the top lip shape.

To make your own
Get a piece of metal sheet wide and long enough to do the job.
Get some cardboard and make a panel that is exactly what you want.the top lip could be formed as part of the new panel or cut and attached from the bumper panel.
Transfer the shape to the sheet, cut it out and shape it by hand to sit as it has been done in the photo.

Here's how our car was done by its previous owner

I feel that it leaves the car looking a little naked, but it is a tidy job.
This is sheet steel, welded and left unpainted on its back, with water pockets that will rot through, but that's life.

You can also replicate the rear bumper in fiberglass and color march both bumpers the same color as the car

( making them fit colser 8)

I'll get a photo of the rear later on, but I don't think that it hangs comfortably.
I think that Eduardo's suggestion of molding bumpers in 'glass and trimming them to tuck in very tight [maybe blended?], making them a body feature and painted as such, rather than a stand-alone feature.

I really like the flat nose look without the bumpers, but I will put a bumper on my car, so that the idiots in this town don't just destroy the car in a parking lot! But I plan to use a minimal bumper, probably homemade...

Have to agree with Bill, I think the car looks cleaner without bumpers but for street use...
3 inch round thick walled pipe amde bumper to keep idiots from hitting the car, or if they do you will at least bounce off
