well.....Been busy, can't say I wouldn't be happy if I never had to do another RUST patch in my life. Needless to say moving forward with the reconstruction of my car. Also had the time to get a few more bits and pieces painted at work this past week. I don't have any pics of the gas tank stripped to bare metal, but once i did it was in fabulous shape :) also finished off the front and rear suspension parts too. I took the brake lines to a hydraulic shop to be all re done and in place of the rubber flex hoses, I am going with stainless braided 8) . well here are the pics for now.

I'm starting to think its looking more and more like a die cast model. I am thinking tho that it wont be to long away before the body goes down to the paint shop :D that way I can spend the winter putting the car back together.

Making the big push to get my car down to the paint shop for prep and paint!!! The past little while I've finished up the welding :D and moved on to the filler part of the resto. Every thing has been given a lick of filler just to make sure its going to be straight. Here are some pics, pretty boring but non the less pics of progress.

It's not boring at all. It's great to see progress and follow it. Much better than a before and after photo, not that they're a bad thing, it's just better to see what happened in between. :)

Thanks Steph. Just didn't want to get to carried away with what seems as minor progress. Cant wait to have those new engine bay decals :)

It's not really a little progress, there is a lot of work shown in those pictures!

I need to know your paint colour code, and which ones you had before, as some of yours are different to ours. Once I know that I'll make up a sheet of them. I just switched my printer over to a continuous ink system, which is one of the many things I had bought and not fitted. I printed a test sheet on semi-gloss paper and the quality is astounding. I also printed registration marks for the first time! I'd been trying to do it in FlexiSIGN Pro, but the print quality was no good. Now I have to work out how to contour cut them on the vinyl cutter and I can start making them. I've already made a set before, but I had to cut them out with an Olfa knife. This isn't the way to do it IMO because it's too easy to make a mistake and end up with a crooked cut, or uneven edge.
