Finished painting the shifter rod. At Pete's urging I did the shifter rod bolt mod. I just hope I did it right. :)

BTW: how long of an 8 mm bolt should I buy?

Haven't had anything news worthy to post lately.
However, I just mailed out a check for my engine stuff.
Hopefully, I'll be getting it back soon. :)

The trucking company is scheduled to pick my pallet of engine stuff up on Wednesday. It'll take another five days to make its journey back home. The anticipation is killing me! :)

I see you decided to try the 2x6 carburetor conversion. Good choice. I hear its way better then th crappy 2x4 conversion.

:D

Oh yeah, thanks for posting that photo of the mod you did to the shift rod Bob. I knew it involved a bolt, but the slit cut in it makes good sense in regards to removing any play. I'll be doing the same to mine! :)

Yeah, instead of just using the roll pin, you replace it with a bolt and the slit allows you to remove any play. I can't help wondering why Honda didn't make it that way in the first place?

Cutting the slit and using the bolt makes the shifter feel like new again. Mine had about 5cm of play in the left and right direction before I did this mod, now it's made shifting very easy.
