1st need to figure out how to get the engine from the bodyshop it was delivered to over to my house. Then, try to remember where it all goes. But very glad to finally have it back here. :DRTR75 wrote:Glad to see you finaly got it back, but I am sure not as much as you
Now you only have to remember is where did you put that part, that bolt, that bracket and how it all goes :D
Good luck

That reminds me of Pete's story about the wrecker who had a special on for, I think it was 2 quid all you can carry. Pete walked out with parts hanging all over him and a gearbox and engine, one in each arm, or something like that. Apparently the guy that ran the place was amused and let him get away with it.Blackbullet wrote:Good news Bob
I wanted a 1335 en4 engine moving recently and one of my older brothers just tucked it under arm and walked off with it
Apologies for any embelishments, but it's been a long time since Pete told me the story... or was it only last week? :P

Moving the block by itself isn't too bad. I had the original block, the bent rods & cylinders returned. The OG block can be bored and used if a buyer ever wanted to put my car back to OG. I also had the 4sp overhauled for the same reason. The bent rods and cylinders will make for a nice display.
Many thanks go out to Brandon for finding such a nice front crossmember and taking such care to pack it very well for the long journey from CA to NJ. :D
Now both front crossmembers will get sandblasted and refinished.
Here's a few pics of the engine and 5 speed. :D
Any thoughts on whether I should spray paint the exhaust manifold with some VHT high temp paint?

I would have the manifold ceramachromed if anything else. The rest of the paint, just gets burned off.
