Ooohhh black! I haven't seen very many 1stgens in black and I've always thought it would look great on such a small car. Excellent work, I have deep respect for those who can and have done their own body work as I do not have the patience for it. :D That's going to look amazing when put back together!

I am very pleased with the color and the body work turned out very straight. I have never owned a black car yet, but I can tell it is going to be a lot of work to keep it looking good. Brought the car home today.....couldn't have picked worse weather tho, snow, wind and rain, we had it all! very frustrating to say the least for a new paint job. Made it home without even a scratch tho :D . Cant really decide where to start except for I did decide to trim clad black the underside of the car, rather then use the textured stone guard and so far so good. I will definitely post some pics this weekend to show the progress.

Nice work Jeremy! I put that thick tar paint on the inside of my wheel arches and underside of the rear. It's supposed to block out any moisture and quieten down the road noise. I don't notice road noise any more, so I guess it did the job. A couple of layers of carpet underlay probably helped deaden things down too.

I know, I know, where are your decals? :P

Soon! :)

Black cars are a lot of work to keep clean but when they are, there is no colour that looks sharper in my opinion. Canadian Tire sells a hand held dust mop that I'll be keeping in my hatch.

I switched the colour of my car from light blue to black so I'll be doing it too. Car looks great.

Took some poor quality pics :? to show the re assembly so far, sorry will try to get some better ones tomorrow. So far the sheet metal is on, gas tank is in and plumbed, Rear suspension is taken care of, front suspension is just about there, tail lights and head lights are in, and adding a few things under the hood.
