Well, someone asked for bumperless Civic photos.

Having lived with the car as a daily driver for 3 months and seen Mike use it as well, driven behind it, in front of it and generally digesting the look of the car, I have to say that I do not like the ''clean'' look, I feel that both the front and rear of the car need a strong horizontal aspect to the design.
Chrome nerf bars have been considered, as have partial infills [look at the bronze one for just bumpers off to show a virgin car, there is the possibility of filling under the headlights, mounting the turn signals and sidelights[2ndgen?]in the panels with the top panel emulating the flange top line, but maybe just too much work.
I have deliberated over no bumpers for nigh-on 40 years and still have not seen an ideal solution, mind the ''Portuguese'' bumpers look very cool, the ones that were on the pre-launch cars elsewhere.
Anybody got one that could be used to get a mould? Now they WOULD tuck nicely.
Just some random thoughts
Pete

some very nice pictures there, good to see me old CiV again.
i'm very interested in this subject but more at the moment with 2ndGen CiVs the first day i had an old honda i wanted to do something with the look of the bumpers or remove them and it's driving me crazy lol
i will do mine, i just don't want to mod anything that can't be put back easy.
really liked looking at the pics, great.

I like the "no bumper" look. But I have a fender to replace now because of it, so I guess its a matter of if u want to worry bout fixing your car on occasion
