Actually, yes; about 2 years ago.RTR75 wrote:Now the question...DO you ever WANT it to end??? :D
I thought I'd make more progress on my engine install than I have. Currently, 2 10 mm lock nuts are slowing things down .
I hope to have them tomorrow morning.
The ones I have are to far gone to re-use.
They attach the A-pipe to the mainfold.
I refinished the non flexible part of the A-pipe with some VHT high temp ceramic paint. Looks better than all the rust.

I tried some years ago and truthfully its temporary on the exhaust parts. It seems to slowly fade away until its gone. Weird I know but it does hold up for about a 'season' of drivingislander wrote:Once again looking good. I am interested to see how the paint on the exhaust will hold up, I will soon be faced with the same task of what to do with the exhaust on my project as well.

The nuts can be had through Honda, albeit a little pricey.username wrote:If you ever need the pipe to manifold nuts any VW shop will have them in stock, with the 17mm socket size.
Quite a difference between new and rusty.
Got to get back to the install - too much procrastinating.
