Thanks everyone for your kind compliments :D I am very happy with the way things are coming together so far. Plan to get the dash and interior going this week 8)

ohyea, the wheel studs sorry. Nice I had no idea Raybestos made longer ones, I just went with ARP.

Making progress.... seems to have slowed down for now tho, cant seem to help that a few other projects have come up lately. was able to get a few more pieces painted at the shop, once again they under the car and no one will probably ever see them..... but they are done. They include the cover for the shifter and the linkage that goes to the trany. Also installed the dash, steering column and got the wiring for just about the whole car wrapped up. Oh ya did the rite of passage thing with he gauges, since I forgot to hook up the speedo cable during install. One small problem with remembering how the wires go for the coil tho. I have a picture, if someone can help identify the wires and where they go, or is able to post a fairly accurate pic that would be awesome.

Small, thin cables should go from resistor block to coil + and another from coil - to distributor.
+ and - are molded on the coil's end, the coil/distributor wire is usually fabric-covered, but not always so.
Also, there should be a second wire [black/white from memory]from the starter circuit to the coil connection of the resistor, it may be connected short though, by Honda. This is so that the coil gets full voltage during start-up, rather like a shot of nitrous helps acceleration :shock: :wink:. It switches back out when the key is released.
I have seen at least 5 variations from the factory, one a year, I suppose and it can vary from market-to-market and factory-to-factory.

:oops: I was just out admiring the civic, checking out the coil wiring and noticed all the wires could not be more clearly labeled :lol: Don't know what I was thinking.
I would love to bring my car to the JCCS, Although I don't think I would be driving, more so probably trailer the car down. It would be about a 2000km drive..... can you imagine how dirty the underside of car would get :shock: :lol: I do think I will be getting to the main land to show the car for sure. Hope to maybe meet some of the members on the site as well.

I'm sure when the BC crew gets their cars out of hibernation, we can set something up :D JCCS was a fun trip in 2010! It was about 1300 miles one way. Who cares about the underside, you know how many bugs end up on the front!

2600 miles!!! That's 4200 klms. That's some serious driving!

I'd have to send my car in a truck and catch a flight a couple days later... :P

I don't know what you all are complaining about, driving these cars is fun!! LOL

I drove over 1300 miles from here to the other side of Oklahoma City non-stop, one day. That makes it a 2 day drive to Florida from California, and you are worried about a quick trip to LA? :D

:roll: I guess it just depends on what you are used to. Like you can't really go anywhere on Hawaii, just drive in a circle...
