Made some steady albeit slow progress today.
The exhaust, drivetrain, most of the front suspension and starter are back in. :)

Shift Linkage done- thanks Pete;
Need to get some small bolts to install the stabilizer bar.
Alternator bracket is in, engine and transmission are oiled up.
New plugs and oil filter in.
Hopefully the vacuum lines, carburetor and electrical next weekend. :)

You're probably right - I should keep my eyes open for a trailer.

Today was another frustrating experience trying to put this car back together. Attaching the stabilizer bar to the front crossmember was a pretty good fight. It took a while to get up enough strength to muscle the bar close enough to get the nuts started.

Then the real frustration kick in. I couldn't get the bracket of the stabilzer to line up with the bolt hole to attach the bar and the radius rod together. Somehow the the metal piece that sticks up must have gotten bent upward & outward during refinishing. After an adjustment with a rather large pair of channel lock pliers, the bolt and holes finally lined up.

The carburetor is back on. How can I tell if I have the throttle linkage adjusted properly? Also, did I install the throttle linkage correctly? I placed it between the diaphram and the carburetor body. Lots more to do tomorrow. :)

There is something that looks odd about the swaybar, someone else look at that and tell me if I am just off base.
The throttle cable is routed right. You should have the cable set with just a little slack at full operating temp, choke off and at idle. You can set it up when cold as it is just make sure that it is not on the choke detent and that there is not too much idle screw turned in, it is usually pretty evident.
Get it close like that and you will have to set the idle and the A/F ratio when it is at operating temperature, after than recheck the cable adjustment.

It looks to me like the sway bar is on upside down or the wrong way round. They really shouldn't need any force to install apart from a little push or pull.

I checked in my manual and looked under my parts car. Both show the sway bar sits below the radius rod and the bolt sits on the top. Can anyone confirm this on their car? :)

Thanks for confirming the sway bar positioning.
Hopefully this weekend, I'll get the electrical and cooling systems hooked back up.

I'm almost dis-motivated to work on it as it is very cold outside! :)
