Hey steph, WAIT! don't wax it yet. Did the shop not tell you to give the paint at least 30 days for the paint to finish curing? Waxing a fresh paint job will trap solvents in the clear from gassing off. This will cause "solvent popping" to occur. at least check with the shop first.
Every old car deserves a second chance!

Hey Jeremy, that's an instruction I'm happy to comply with! Did I mention I'm really lazy? :Pislander wrote:Hey steph, WAIT! don't wax it yet. OK, I've just pencilled in a wax for late Feb.

Nah, I'm busy working on my research project for uni at present, and in my spare time I've been rebuilding my dual Dellorto carburetor to mount on my shiny manifold. I received half the parts today from Eurocarb, and now I'm waiting for the other parts to come from Rocky in Italy. I made up an el cheapo blast cabinet out of a large plastic tub and a pair of heavy rubber gloves on the weekend, and soda blasted the Dellortos. It took 2kgs of bicarb to clean them up perfectly, and they look like new now.

But I will be needing those stickers soon.

I need them too! I might have to make them and cut them out by hand and the straight lines with a blade. I've already done a couple of test prints and tested them for water bleed (none), and I stuck one in the sun for about 3 months and it didn't noticeably fade, although the ink isn't guaranteed in this way, but I wanted to see how light-fast it was. All this was without the protective clear layer I plan on putting over the top. Anyway...

So I've been messing around in Photoshop getting an idea of how I want my car to look, and this is what I came up with...
... which one looks best Lowered 1 or Lowered 2?
