Believe me that goes thru my mind constantly. I will most likely wax most of everything before it sees the road, just to make it easier to clean and a less chance for dirt to stick to anything. I have a few concerns about some of the vaccum lines. The previous owner had blocked off a few of the lines and being that it isn't the original motor, basically I want to make sure everything is hooked up properly. I will take pictures and post them in the proper section.

FINALLY!!!! My car came to life again today. After many times of trying to figure out the timing, I threw my Haynes manual across the garage and researched this forum again. I am now a firm believer these manuals or only good for hhmmm... learning how to do an oil change

Just goes to show how valuable the knowledge is on this forum and for that I thank all of our members. All that's left to do now is install a brake master and I should be off to the races.

That Haynes manual has a lot of haters. I've never actually even seen one, but don't tell Pete that, as we've had a thing going on for ages where he defends it, and I rubbish it.

Think of the Haynes manual as the shop manual for the tech that doesn't need the book, just a reference...

Well managed to get the car out for a its first bath today, and its first movement under its own power after putting in the motor. I also obtained a washer bottle from my neighbor. This will take place of the bag.
