I do have a Pertronix kit in wait. I was hoping to make use of
the new points before I converted.
I'm not so sure the timing is set right. :)

OK, will do and for good measure I just ordered a flame thrower coil to go with it. :)

Went out for a drive earlier today.
On the highway, the car began losing some power
and felt like it wanted to stall. I made it off the hwy
and on the way back home it stalled out several times.
At one point the fuel pump was going a little bonkers.
I had plenty of gas sitting in the fuel filter in the engine bay.
I looked at the fuel filter under the rear seat. It too looked
full of fuel and pretty clean. Any thoughts on how to proceed? :)

Hrm, possibly a weak pump? It may flow enough under part load, but not under a higher load after a few minutes? Did it seem to run relatively smoothly as if there was still consistent spark? About how long did it take on the highway before the problem started?

make sure there is fuel in the tank and then do a flow test at the carburetor line.

Great Inspiration!

I had a bit of buyers remorse when I first bought my civic. Now its like I'm falling in love.
