Yes, that was a Mugen copy made by Challenge as well. Out of all the body kits, I have to say the Hope High looks the best for my eye, as it still looks like a 1st genCivic, or more specifically, a full race version of a 1st gen Civic.

They are still available, in that the mould still exists. I'm still trying to get a price. Mine cost $330AUD in 1995ish - but I'm guessing that labour and material costs have gone up since then. Also they only fit the 3door hatch.

I am worrying about a nos spoiler, the glass is just so brittle I am sure I would scatter it all over a parking lot somewhere.

Anyone wanting a spoiler may wish to consider this.

This is a Triumph Dolomite spolier . Fitted here with 3 screws only.
They turn up frequently on e-bay in the UK for reasonable money.

Check out products for 83-84 non GTI Golfs/Jettas (Rabbits/Jettas in NA). I'm not sure what brand this one is but I picked it up for $9 at the local Pin N Pull. Takes a bit of mucking about but they are surprisingly spot on for width. Here are a couple of shots of the cut and try process on my test mule.

Model: 1979 Hatchback CVCC

Post by Jonathan »

The CVCC ones would probably be the easiest to customize to fit on a 1200. The "ears" on either end would need to be shortened bu about 2".

I've got a 75-77 CVCC and 78-79 CVCC air dam. Anyone want to make copies? No time for me to do it myself.
