Front Spoiler / Airdamn idea

Post by civic_zr »

hey guys, just thought I'd share an idea for a front splitter / spoiler / air dam. I've always been after one soon as my zr one was damaged.

Was recently cleaning up my shop and came across this

Its a mugen 1g cr-x rear spoiler. There are still reproductions being made in the states and nz - in both fiberglass and carbon fiber. I'll post up links to the sites later on today.

Its a pretty good fit, I'm currently working on some ally side plates and an small under tray for greater mounting strength.

Let me know what you think ! :)

I agree with the above, I think that has a good look to it. Only complaint (if any) is its squarish lines compared to the roundness of the Civic. Not a big complaint really, that item is now on my radar...

So, I may have found one locally (not any of the spoilers mentioned) that COULD work... I have a feeling it's too curvy for it, I'll have a proper look in the light. A friend has it for sale, and says it's a universal spoiler her bought ages ago. Might just do the job. Needs a bit of cutting back on the sides, and probably the center standy bit, to get it to sit at a good angle... So, probably a bit of fiberglass work, but meh. Might look nice, so why not? Cheaper than the mugen spoiler, das for sure :P
