My name is Ben and i also reside in Adelaide! i have just read your entire thread and to say i am impressed and inspired is an understatement!!! Congratulations on a fantastic restoration! It is funny that you are doing carpet as that is one of my next jobs for my 2nd gen civic! I just had a question about the fit of tru-fit carpets, was it good? did you have to make any modifications or cutting? cheers ben

The carpets are still sitting waiting to be fitted, so I can't give you any feedback at present, but the quality looks to be excellent.

I honestly can't see myself ever selling mine. There's too much of 'me' invested in it now. I can see it becoming my 'weekend' car eventually... maybe... :P

Haha, yeah these little things win you over very quickly with their character! I would of been surprised if it had been yours, but i just saw it on gumtree and it is some what different to yours but at a quick glance i thought it might have been yours lol!

I had one of the front poly suspension bushes tear in half and go bouncing down the road. The other day I bought a new set of poly bushes, and when I went to install them, the job sort of got a little out of hand. :P I still have to do the other side, and the rear pair, but I'm glad I did it myself, because I was able to take my time and paint/chrome each part as I went along. The car has been off the road for a couple of weeks now, and I've got used to catching the bus to work, and riding my bike to the shops, so the car is off the road while I have the motivation to do things. Who knows, I may finally have the motor and trans removed, my neighbor has an engine crane, and he offered to help, then I could send it to Maxwill Motors to get it built. It's great having a new puppy, and a new job, I feel enthusiastic about everything again. I have another 'stimie' package coming my way this year, so that's when the motor will get done. This time for sure!

if you want/need more camber, move the 4 bolts towards the wings to allow the leg to move further towards the center-line.
Finish looks great. Over here, I am looking at a shroud to stop dirt ingress around the top of the leg.
