That's a pretty good suggestion. I think I'll have a go at that come spring time. :)

I got bitten by the spring bug today.
I fired the Civic up and let her run in the driveway for a while.
Then it was off for it's spring maiden voyage.
Ten minutes later, the engine cut off and left me stranded on the side of the road. :(
Had a neighbor kind enough to run some gas over to me.
Poured some down the carburetor, she sputtered and quit.
Called my good friend Mark Allen up and he walked me through some basic diagnostics.
No fuel was pumping into the water bottle when the engine was cranking.
No noise was coming from the fuel pump which frustrated me because it was replaced in the recent past.
Mark had me tap the top fuel pump which fortunately I had some tools in the car to access.
That did the trick! The pump started clicking again! :)
I'll be leaving the bench seat and fuel pump cover off until I'm sure the pump is good.
I'm guessing it some how got stuck being parked over the winter months.
Mark Allen is a vendor and forum member here and goes well beyond the call of duty

Thank you Mark for always being there for parts and technical advice! :)

Slowly getting ready for the Carlisle Import show in May.
The car is going back to body shop for some needed spot work where the paint has bubbled ever so slightly.
The NOS rear bumper has been on the car since the new paint.
The car is garage kept and doesn't get driven in the winter.
Take a look at the back side of the rear bumper.
Already removed and treated the rust. Will protect with some ZeroRust before re-install.

I pulled off the rear emblems and will replace the "HONDA" with some nice NOS ones.
The letters and hatch lock are courtesy of Jay. Thank you Jay!
They will look great when the car comes back from the body shop. :)

On your fuel pump, you can take the top off and clean the electric contacts, they are much like a set of points in the distributor. Just use a fine emery cloth or jewelers file to clean up the surface, as it is not the original there should be no great wear on the contacts, just a little corrosion.

Got my 12 inch wheels back from the powder coater.
I'll use these wheels for the Carlisle Import Show in a few weeks. :)

Your back valance looks to be bent up (By the Muffler tips) Fix that for me please! Ha Ha! :funny

If you have to fix it, fix it better than it was!

We'll have to re-read this thread very carefully. Madeline will soon be starting work on her CVCC!
If the book says it can't be done, do it anyway.

thesmogsman, the angle of the pic and the dual tip muffler gives it that illusion.

Vulcan, Madeline will have the most unique Civic in England before the two of you are done with!

Only thing I do not like about the beauty rings is that they dig into my newly powder coated wheels. :)

Martin, is this enough shine for the wheels? 8)

That NOS grill emblem is for the 78-79 1200.
I'd love to swap it for a NOS grill emblem for the 78-79 CVCC.
Any one want to trade? :)
