Phil Looks great I am just starting my restoration.
Were are you getting your parts from?
Mine look very similar to your color wise.
Do you know if there is a work shop manual you can get for these cars?

I've been really busy working on this little car. Stripping started with the rear working my way to the front.

Labelling of wiring and removal the dash was the next stage of the strip down. Did I mention labelling? I bought a cheap direct thermal labelling machine specifically for this task. So far it's working great and one day will assist in the puzzle building process.

Fender mirrors - thank you Jay for the template!

I measured back 265mm from the front edge of the guard and scribed a line, then placed the template down.

I measured 19mm in from the engine bay side of the guard to find to set my hole centres and used a centre punch to mark my holes.

I then drilled three pilot holes using a 3mm drill bit, followed by a 5mm (the bolt holes final size). Finishing off the centre carefully using a step drill taped just above 30mm to ensure the measurement wasn't passed.

I noticed that the mirrors were sitting slightly differently go each other. The plastic cover over the base seems to sit at a different height, one sits inside the plastic and one sits on top of it. Also a difference in spring size, which I've confirmed with Jay that this isn't how they should be. I'll need to take them apart and see what's going on. Just in case, does anyone have any spare parts?

More to come!
