Visited the bodyshop today. Most of the work is now complete. The car still needs a thorough cleaning inside and out. The air element is now refinished. I'm beginning to get really excited to get my car back. :)

Finally got the NOS center caps mounted. :) The body shop lost the screw cover for my NOS passenger side mirror. Now I have a matching set of no screw caps. Big clean up underway. Should have it back soon. :D

Thanks for the nice comments. What a difference a day makes! The car looks really great all cleaned up. :D The clean up removed some of the silver paint on my grill and some of the black from my grill emblem. The bodyshop will fix it since they caused it. :)

Picked up this beat up wooden wheel which I will fully refinish and install. :)

Lots of rust spots and badly deteriorated finish
Image

Started sanding down the wood and then dismantled the back of the wheel

sanded with 1000 grit and applied 1st coat of wood sealer.

After a couple of more coats of sealer, I'll hit it with some polyurethane and begin refinishing the metal spokes. :)
