Looking smart!! 8)

That golf lip looks very discreet on the Civic. 8)

Honda CX500? Midsized, watercooled, shaft driven, quite advanced for it's day I understand? I do hear though it's a pig to change the water pump. :(
If the book says it can't be done, do it anyway.

Mine is more as CX650,its got a honda silverwing engine. :D
And YES changing a waterpump is taking apart a lot of things :(

But it runs realy nice, the movement/shaking of the engine is a bit od,i used to 4cill motors, this one feels like its gona turn around when it idles

Syncronised my rs carburetor today.I used an old set ,but worked realy fine.It measures the vacuum between butterfly and the sets orifise,With the gauge you can see the off set,by adjusting one butterfly you syncronise 1 with the other.Mine was way of.I have done this for many times on motorcycles,i acspected loads of progress. But no,i think its because the intake manifold has got a ballance pipe that combines the 2 carburetor. So that it will run smoothly, and pick up fast
This is the set i used

After that,i had a wash and drive. And made loads of pics. :D

Where do you connect the gauges to balance the carburetor? I can't find where to do it on my RS carburetor. I just measured the butterflies with a depth gauge before I fitted them to the engine and it works ok but I'd like to use the gauge to get it better.

You take off the air filter.
The gauge set has got several rubber plugs, with have a small orifise.
When you run the motor you create a vacuum between butterfly and the sets plug with orifise.
In the set is a gauge that is conected on both of the pluggs,so it measures vacuum on both sides. The gauge reads delta presure .
If 1 butterfly is more opend,it will create more vacuum between butterfly and plug. That will show on the meter.
Now you can adjust 1 butterfly, more open or more closed.
Just as long till you end up equal on both carburetor.

Its hard to explain in english, but is it understandeble??

So, can you block off the balance tube between the carburetor somehow? Seems like you would want to to get te finest adjustment without the balance tube influencing the reading.
