Goal setting

imageHow do you set a goal and reach it without any setbacks?

I am training to do a marathon or triathlon I can’t help but get second thoughts of the consequences of pushing my self to reach that goal. The worse that goes through my mind is getting an aggravating injury that I see my self sitting on the side lines watching most everyone having success in one way or another.

My thoughts are to keep a strong core as the most important and getting healthy whole foods into me on a daily basis. When my body is ready it can be pushed to a moderate increase in endurance and speed.

I make a habit of getting my runs in four times a week, one long run followed by two 9km runs and one 5k on Thursdays. I hope to turn one of the 9km runs into a tempo when the ice melts and are save to run on.
