I got some free scrap metal from an old GMC pick up truck hood to make some heavier patches.
Being around others with similar interests including family it not too often I can trade parts on an equal playing field. He is into the 90’s Honda Civic’s. The EG body type, my once favorite today but are very hard to come by. There are plenty around but most have been modded or so badly rotten it not worth trying to get my hands on one.
How ever my son traded with me an old 92 Civic hood for an old GMC square body hood. I plan to use the hood for making repair panels for my restoration project. Sheet metal of decent thickness is getting very pricey, so I save where I can. Better in my pocket than the scrap man.
