Hey all, I was searching the web and I came accross a number of places mentioning that the 4x120 bolt pattern that us civic guys love to hate can be found on newer volkwagens ('87-96?), like on this site on a vw jetta
http://www.mnsinc.com/dos/wheels/
there were also frequent mentions of audi models like the quattro and coupe that all use the 4x120 bolt pattern
with brand names like Ronal (R8 spider) and diamond racing wheels...
anyways, you might already know all this, but its news to me!

NO, I disagree...
our '94 VW Jetta is 4x100, VW has been using that for YEARS.
almost asian and european cars that have 4 bolts/lugs uses a 4x100 bolt circle
Subaru used a 4x110 and I think Fiat used 4x98mm (or someother strange smaller size)
one thing to know if you are trying to fit wheels to your A3 VW, you need to make sure the center hole is big enough, and you have enough clearance for the brakes. learned this the frustrating/hard way with my winter wheels for the Jetta...
