i'm considering putting a high performance engine in my car .. (eventually) ... i would think that with that much torque i would need to beef up the drive train ... and what about cv's?
what about braking power? .. how about engine mounts?

How much HP? I'd stay with new stock ones. Unless you are going to be around 250hp. The outboard ones always show wear first. and if you're around that the 13" tires are going to fry first anyhow. There's not much for the tranny (the main brunt of abuse) except a limited slip dif ($$)
