I just rebuilt a 1981 Accord engine 1751 CC.
The cam and rockers were badly worn. I have
a 1981 Civic 1.3 engine that the cam was in good shape therein. I "eyeballed" the 2 cams and they
APPEARED to be the same, so I used the 1.3 cam in the 1751 engine. It runs, nicely, but with noticeable lack of power. Now I'm beginning to wonder if the cams might be slightly different.
Already checked the cam/belt timing at least a couple times. Anyone help? Cannot find cam specs anywhere....

wow! I'm suprised that the followers even align with the lobes! I have several heads and have dozens of rocker assembly's. I got some rockers mixed up and tried to put a 1500/1600 rocker set on a 1751 and the lash adjusters for the auxilliaries didn't even come close to reaching the tip of the valve! It was on the retainer! are we talking of a us model or other?.....I can still get/order 'stock' cams from auto parts places around here for about 80.00us

This is confirms that a city turbo cam will also drop in as the city turbo and Ej1300 cams are interchangable. Even more reason to turbo charge an EK. Hmm one day someone will do it.

Charles, That's what I'm working on, I started looking at building a turbo 1751 when 'Racecraft Charles' was talking about 250hp. (OOOhh I just got a chill!!) then, I think it was you who I was talking to about boring out the 1300ej block (and using the 1500em1 (80-83) head to lower compression and get bigger valves and four exhaust ports it needs for the turbo manifold to work) for a set of 1500ed pistons, now I think I'm back to a turbo 1751. I just need the computer "harness" from Racecraft and I can start putting 'things' together. I can drop it in a early cvcc, 2g civic, or a 1g Accord. But it looks that the 1g cvcc has a whole seperate area for a intercooler next to the stock radiator. ..I just wish I knew how to 'cut' down these pictures for you guys..
