You guys/gals won't believe this! I was stripping down a EB2 engine and had just finished doing the same to a EM1 and dropped in the Em1 crank into the EB2 block.... The mains were alittle snug, but it ROTATES!! Dang! This crank isn't double counterwieghted so the throws don't hit! There is about 5/8" from the empty journal to the oil galley saddle and I ran out of time for the rod clearence. IT'S COMIN KIDS....

Sorry I had to work. But, I compared a 88-89 d15 rod to a EM1 rod and the EM1 looks alot thinner,(to give more room for a stroker) but it's a little wider. The cranks rod journal would have to be widened slighly.
Oh and the rod journal on the D15 was considerably smaller, so it can be offset ground for an even deeper stroke! But the wrist pin looked the same. (won't know until this weekend)
I need to look at how this crank fits in the EB3 block I have...
And to throw another curv, The EB2 flywheel has a funky shape to it. It has what looks like a support ring cast into it on the block side? It feels lighter than the 1300's or the 1500's But I'm going to see if the bolt pattern is the same as the 84-87 civics, so someone can get a better clucth setup...... Mor2cum

i'm pretty sure the dish on the 1300 flywheel is oh so slightly different from the eb2 .. although they seem identical ..
just a thought ..

Mo, I really need a digital camera... This one looks unique! I even have another one that I don't know WHAT Honda it came offof! The dish curves out toward the Disc. ?? Not like the ED ones

I would think you will need to modify the shorter 1300 rods, and it would still require the use of custom pistons to be able to fit the 1500 crank. Keep at it though, as it would be a screamin' meanie when finished. Just think, a 1488 EB...
