Hey Kids... I'm building a 1st gen integra for my 85 crx si and was looking at the lower timing gear.. And waddayaknow! It's the same dia. and the teeth and keyway are centered!
And I know that the 'teg' gears are the same as the newer adjustable ones around the aftermarket.. So All one has to do is find a belt (with rounded teeth) that is the same length and EVERYONE that wants one can squeeze out a couple more HP.....More to come

Make sure to count the number of teeth on each gear.

You think it's easy to find a belt with exactly that length??
I once had a civic-belt that was too short, I wish I hadn't thrown it away, it might've solved my 5-6 degrees of cam-retarding!

Nikolaj, What was your problem with 5-6 degrees of cam retarding? I may have a similar problem. Barry

Has your distributor ever been taken apart?
If it wasn't put back with the marks lined up, that might be it?

everything lines up! (at least on the lower gear)
I'm going to look at some adjustable ones this week and compare

Well, It looks like they will work!!!!
All that is needed is a belt that'll fit with rounded teeth!

Good luck on the belt, I really hope you find one.
My problem is because of shaving the head to the limit... My experience is that the engine is strong down low, but high revs let me down and at somewhere around 6000 (I think, have no tach) it just stops, as if there were a rev-limiter. I figure the valves at those speeds are retarded so much that the gas has no way of making it out on time..
I'm getting my pulley worked on so that I can put the pulley on other way around, making good for 3 degrees. I'll see where that leaves me, if not good enough, I have more pulleys...

one of the parts stores I shop at said I could 'look' on thier wall and see if I can find one that looks like It would work.

Now I just need to know how EXACT the length has to be. I know there is an adjustment, but what is too tight?

Errol if that does not work you could copy the commercial EB adjustable gear, I have one around here somewhere. It used the factory gear with an aluminum plate. Not hard to copy at all, I think RaceCraft was trying to get some people to show interest to get a few made up at once about a year ago. I think lack of interest killed the plan.

I looked for about 45min and came close, but ran out of time.
Then went to my friends shop and he said "I've got a 1200 one in back...somewhere" So another day to spend looking through his stuff...
I'm getting close
