On TLC there is a show called Junkyard Wars...usually a very entertaining show. But today there are Hondas brutally cut in half and a being used as point toward winning a game. (the point of the show is that they had to create a crane out of junk found in the junkyard and to win points they are having to move various objects from one area to another and there are hondas in parts everywhere..AAAAHHHHH the pain!!!!

Where I work we sell brand new cars and everytime I have one of the Hondas parked outside everyone goes out to check them out even customers and delivery people. It makes me laugh especially when a customer is coming to pick up a new mercedes or bmw and yet they are checking out my 76 civic

That's what I love about these cars. These cars different symbols to everybody. They remind people of a life that used to be simple and fun. Or maybe the fun times they had with their friends on the way to school.
I love losing it in a parking lot between two trucks. Or removing my sun roof on a warm day, and cranking my stereo while at a red light... just to stand out even more.
Some day it'll be on the road again.

My honeymoon video shows my civic totally polished with cans and shoes dangling from the back. The inside was filled with ballons. As we drove to Disneyland, people were honking and giving us "thumbsup." Then we went to Knotts Berry Farm and Hunington Beach. The white window lettering can still be seen in the corners, and I believe the string for the balloons is still around my side mirror.
I traded my clunker in for the civic. I was looking around the lot at newer used cars when....there it was! At the rear of lot, under a tree and covered with neglect was my future car. The salesman looked shocked when I showed interest. I drove the car home (Porland, OR), packed up my stuff and headed down south to be with my girl friend. We soon got married and two weeks later I was in basic training (at 18 years old).

Mobile Crane
This challenge is to build mobile cranes to lift and carry scrap down a course to a drop-off point. Each piece of scrap is allocated a points value related to its weight or awkwardness. The team that accumulates the most points over two 15-minute rounds is the winner.

I bought my first Honda in '74 Brand new (yeah I'm that old) and sold it later on caus' I was to get married. Bought an old EJ holden dirt cheap, loved the old girl till she was stolen & burn't out (the car not the wife). In 1990 I saw a little white '73 with mags & a sports wheel, Deja vu ? Had it ever since. They become part of the family some how.
